Beautiful copy of this very scarce title copiously illustrated in full-color by the author with Freddie the Clown with several circus animals depicted on both front and rear boartds and duplicated on the bright, very lightly worn dust jacket. Hopwood authored and self-illustrated several delightful children's books in the late 1920s and early '30s, all with wild animal and/or circus themes.

Uncommon children's title in scarce full-color pictorial dust jacket with image of Monkey Family (mother, father and four children) in full color on both front and rear boards with illustration repeated on the dust jacket. Light shelf wear to boards, dust jacket is rubbed through in two areas of the spine, otherwise is generally intact and bright with a couple of short closed tears. Hopwood authored and self-illustrated several delightful children's books in the late 1920s and early '30s, all with wild animal and/or circus themes.
