Jones, James Some Came Running (First Edition) New York Scribners 1957 First Edition; First Printing Hardcover Near Fine in Very Good+ dust jacket; Jones' second novel set in southern Illinois during the four years of peace between WWII and the Korean War. The author spent six years writing this following the enormous success of "From Here to Eternity." Dust jacket lightly worn at extremities with modestly faded spine. Half-inch red spot on rear panel where a drop of liquid bled color from the cloth board through the dust jacket. Spot is barely visible on book.
Jones, James The Thin Red Line (First Edition) New York Scribners 1962 First Edition; First Printing Hardcover Near Fine in Near Fine dust jacket; A novel of combat of World War II, a fictional account of the Guadalcanal campaign, and basis of two excellent films. Dust jacket is lightly soiled and the spine lettering is somewhat sun-faded, as usual. A very attractive copy despite minor flaws.
